Abstract/Summary:
Since low cost, high strength, construct fast, environmental protection and energy conservation, etc, fabriform sand are widely used in many kinds of engineering. However, the test research of fabriform sand under the action of horizontal force remains to be developed. And the understanding on the mechanical properties of fabriform sand has remains yet to be perfect.On the basis of the research status and the application of fabriform sand at home and abroad, in this paper, indoor model test are used to study the mechanical properties of fabriform sand under the action of horizontal force, and this paper analyzes the anisotropic of fabriform sand and the limit state of fabriform sand under the action of horizontal force.First of all, this paper has done the horizontal loading tests for the first time, the horizontal loading tests on the different size, different degree of filling, different overlying pressure of fabriform sand are performed to study the stress-strain relation. And have done the theoretical analysis for the test results.The second, this paper has come to fabriform sand is anisotropic materials by compared the horizontal loading tests and the uniaxial compression tests. This must be considered in the actual engineering.The last, this paper has come to limit state prediction method of fabriform sand. To predict the limit of the fabriform sand should use interface friction theory, and the theory just only can be used in the waves.
