As an important symbol of transportation modernization, expressway has more and more impact on the national economy and social development. Recently society and economy have developed rapidly, regional activity is frequent increasingly, the density and scale of expressway network enlarge continuously with appearing circular roads, which results in multi-path recognition problem, and thus leading to the justice and fairness issue of charging and splitting in expressway network tolling. In a environment of network toll collection,multi-path recognition problem has become an urgent issue to be solved. After searching all the aspects, the paper firstly introduces multi-path recognition techniques and the research status at home and abroad. Through the comparison of the technical scheme, the paper concludes the development trend of multi-path recognition problem solution—the precise identification, especially the technology with the core of radio frequency identification(RFID).So the paper uses the basic theory of multi-path recognition method, combined with the technology of radio frequency identification(RFID),proposed technical scheme based on ultra low power dual band card to resolve multi-path recognition problem of expressway network toll collection. In accordance with the requirements of precise recognition technology, the scheme changes the current network toll system of manual toll collection(MTC),through the precise method of identification station, uses knowledge of tree in the graph theory to search the paths needed to add identification station, then transforming net structure of traffic network into tree structure based on spanning tree, thus we realize the recognition of multi-path problem. Finally the paper takes the Guangxi province highway network as an example, according to the network planning of the province, proposes the implementation scheme of Guangxi Provincial Expressway multi-path recognition system, applies the scheme of dual band card, and then through the comparison of different precise identification methods, we conclude that the scheme of dual band card is better than others, which being the solid foundation for the implementation of Guangxi province highway path recognition system, even to the national provincial highway network identification problem solving path ambiguity of charge has the significance of reference and promotion.
