With the development of society and reformation, large numbers of industrial factory constructed in the past have entered their aging period or can not satisfy the need of current producing. However, as infrastractures for producing, the technical status will directly affect the normal production process, the quality of products and restrict the development of the production. Thus, after experiencing construction on a large scale, we put much more emphasis on the reinforcement and the repair of the existing factories. And comparing with building a new plant, reinforcing the existing factories has many advantages, such as lessenning the investment, less environmental pollution and needing less time to recuperate the capital. Therefore, investment in the reinforcement of the existing factories will be growing in the future.In this paper the flow and general principles of reinforcement technology and the basic calculation assumptions are described in detail, and the design theory of several methods on reinforcement, such as the method of section expansion, the method of prestressing steel strip, the method of surface shape steel wrapping, the method of surface carbon fiber cloth bounding, are elaborated. And associated with an engineering practice, RC beams reinforcement and RC columns reinforcement are designed with the methods respectly, and construction technology on each scheme is presented, and makes a comparison with the schemes. And the method of surface shape steel wrapping is selected as the scheme to reinforce the RC beam, while the method of prestressing steel strip is selected as the scheme to reinforce the RC column. In addition, nonlinear finite element analysis of the reinforced RC concrete column with prestressing steel strip is carried out with the software ABAQUS to analyze the deformation and bearing capacity of the retroffitted column and the stress of the steel stip, steel and concrete. And the result of the simulation is consistent with the result of the relevant design.
