Temporary Building’s Design Method Research Based On Rapid Construction

From nomadic tent to activities of the board throughout every corner of the city, a temporary building plays an indispensable role in the history. With the coming of consuming age, a large number of buildings decades quickly after being constructed and its updating speed is faster than ever before, such as those consumer goods. The temporary buildings play a very important role in emergency, temporary exhibition, laboratory and other fields. They can meet diverse needs of today’s society because it’s rapid to construct, easy to disassemble, flexible to mobile.This article focuses on the rapid construction of a temporary based on relevant areas of the research. Through the light steel structure, wood, container, bamboo, paper and other types of temporary buildings, this article summarize the design methods of rapid construction of temporary buildings from site selection, construction material selection, structure, systematic and standardized design, and construction organization. Based on Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology’s solar hut in 2013 solar Decathlon China, this article will combine theory and practice to improve the rapid construction theory.
