In recent years, wind power as a new clean energy has been rapid development in the country’s strong support. Because the construction is relatively simple, the foundations of the fan are most of the independent foundation. At present, the independent foundation design of fan in practical engineering are conservative, resulting in the proportion of cost in the construction of foundation of fan is not small, therefore,as an important part of wind power investment, it is necessary to study the design method of the fan independent foundation.This paper mainly study the situation with the prevailing wind direction is fixed and extreme load control.Explore the independent based design method according to the relevant provisions and specification in domestic and foreign(American and Europe), compared and analysis of the material selection, punching shear calculating method, the reinforcement design method, stability analysis method of. Design and calculate an engineering example by the specification of three countries, results show that, the base plate is maximum accordance to the Chinese design specifications. Through the finite element modeling and analysis, calculated and analysis the bottom plate stress of fan independent foundation under the extreme load conditions and the normal operation of loading distribution, Analysis the stress distribution impact regular of the different plate size, the length and the height of the base. The results show that The increase of the three parameters above can lead to the reduction of the zero stress area ratio of floor,and the influence of plate size is more obvious; in addition, the zero stress area which theoretical method calculation is more bigger than the numerical analysis.According to the theoretical analysis and the results of finite element analysis, this paper puts forward two kinds of methods to optimize the design of the fan independentfoundation, so as to decrease the foundation slab of zero stress zone and reduce the material consumption purposes.The one is through the eccentric arrangement of the foundation; The other is recommended for the base zero stress limit value appropriate amplification. The engineering examples show that the two methods can reduce the base plate zero stress zone, thereby reducing the size of the base plate, make the design result is more economical.
