Study On Campus Landscape Design Based On The Spirit Of Place

Universities in China are meaningful places which have been experienced a period from ancient to modern society.Nowadays, plenty of universities are wild about the campus reconstruction and extension, although that reached the new record of quantity,but we also meet the problems about lacking of personality, it is more difficult finding the memory fill with emotion. Primary cause is the spirit missing.Due to the spirit of space focusing on the experience of emotion, it’s have the positive effect for building the campus environment the sense of belonging and the sense of identity.this article demonstrates the research of campus landscape from the view of space spirit, mainly analyzing the exist landscape designing problems of university campus, illustrating the meaning of construction through the view of space spirit and the status of research done in other countries.Chapter2 mainly contains the key conception and basic theory. Subscribing and defining the space spirit and other design theory related. according to the meaning of space spirit, analyzing the experience for teachers and students in campus and also the performance of it.In the fourth chapter,the paper summarizes the campus landscape expression based on the preamble.The case analysis of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, Caotang campus landscape designing based on the spirit of place and the research of the lack of the place spirit in the landscape design of other campus landscape design case. In this paper, a variety of research methods are used: literature review, interview, field investigation, andinductive analysis. From the point of view of the spirit of the place, a new attempt is made to design and construct the campus landscape design and construction.Campus landscape designing based on the spirit of place, based on the culture identity and the experience of teachers and students, make them subject to the soul of inspired, the ultimate goal is to access to teachers and students a sense of identity and sense of belonging in the campus landscape.
