A Strategy Research On Digital Design In Complex Architectural Form Based On Architectural Morphology

In the past years, the diversification of social development provides a good opportunity for interdisciplinary research. During this period, the fast growing digital technology has a profound effect on architecture, changing its design idea as well as working method and generating unprecedented changes and innovations in architectural form. Therefore, this paper quotes the theoretical framework of “architectural morphology” to collect and analyze new design theories about complex architectural form design.As an interdiscipline, architectural morphology inherits the concept of biological morphology and studies about both external manifestation and internal logic of the form at the same time. In facing with complex architectural form, architectural morphology explains its “surface structure” and “deep structure” separately, summarizing its theoretical laws and creating logics.In the “surface structure”, complex architectural form adopts the theoretical basis of the morphology and accomplishes external manifestation of complex form under the inspiration of nature form; in the “deep structure”, it unites the digital creating logics such as the science of complexity and emergence to guide the generation of complex form. This paper uses those double research methods and combines a lot of cases and personal design and practices, finding out the origin logic of complex architectural form and sorting out the design strategy of it.
