According to the survey, the power consumption of the compressors accounted for 40% of the summer power consumption in the southern cities of China. Rotary compressors occupy more than 90% of residential air conditioning and small commercial air conditioning compressor market. As more and more people want to live for an environmental-friendly and comfortable life, it is significant to improve the working efficiency of the rotary compressors. In the article, based on the technology platform of ANSYS-CFX, we used the dynamic grid method to establish compressible three-dimensional turbulent flow numerical models of all the flow areas from the inlet, pump chamber to the compressor shell and did a large number of calculation. By comparing to related theoretical calculation results and actual test results,it verified the feasibility of the method and the veracity and reliability of the model.Firstly, using R410A as the refrigerant and the elastic smooth dynamic grid method, the numerical calculation of the compressor pump chamber was restored. Then comparing the refrigerating capacity obtained by simulation to the actual measurement results, it verified the accuracy of the calculation model. Then by observing the flow process of the new refrigerant in compressor pump chamber, the flow characteristic of the refrigerant in the suction channel, suction chamber and compress chamber was found. Lastly, by analyzing the cause of the vortex from formation to disappearance at the bottom of the inlet passage, the cause of symmetrical spiral structure in the inlet chamber and the cause of the formation of vortex and pressure distribution in the compressor chamber, a conclusion was found that the shape, location and structure have great influence to the exhaust process.On the basis of the calculation in the compressor pump chamber, a compressible turbulent flow numerical model of the refrigerant flow channel in the internal of the compressor pump chamber was established and then the calculation also has been implemented. The refrigerating capacity calculated by the mass flow-rate at the outlet of the compressor pump chamber is consistent with the actual refrigerating capacity. It verified the accuracy of the complete appliance model. Simplify the movement of the vent valve platein to two control state and achieve the objective of controlling the switching process by the pressure difference on both sides of the exhaust valve. Then by observing the flow state and pressure change process of refrigerants in the silencer and analyzing the influence of the structure of the silencer on the flow process, the wind resistance on the rotor in the compress pump chamber causing by refrigerant and its change rules are found. And the influence of the structure of the stator and the rotor on the rotor rotation also is found. By observing the pressure distribution and the change trend around the motor, the reasons of the pressure change and the influence of the structure on the pressure change are found.In this paper, through numerical simulation, the fluid flow in the pump chamber of the rotary compressor was studied. And the flow characteristic of the refrigerant gas inside the chamber was found. Through the analysis of the refrigerant gas flow process, the influence of the structure of the compressor on the refrigerant flow was found.
