As the core components of rotating machinery, rotor-bearing system are widelyu sed and play an irreplaceable role in defense, energy, electricity, transportation and che mical sectors. In recent years, catastrophic accidents have happened which are caused by all kinds of abnormal vibration in the rotating machinery system.It makes peoplebe aware of the importance of the study on the dynamic characteristics of a rotor bearin g system. The merits of the rotor system dynamic characteristics will directly affectthe steam turbine generator sets and other large rotating machinery to work safely stablel y.Since rotating machinery is applied in different fields, in which the work environme nt is also different, there are a variety of reasons that induce the rotor failure. Themo st common faults are rub-impact, misalignment, cracks, oil shocks, loose, etc. Not onl y the single failure but also various types of coupling faults occur, with which vibrati onfeature is more complex.The paper mainly study on the dynamic characteristics of rotor system under different supports. Build lumped mass model of system using rotor dynamics theory. Study the dynamic properties of simple rotor system under different supports and research on the coupling faults of misalignment-rubbing with numerical and experimental methods.This work includes the following aspects:Firstly, numerical algorithm theories involed in this paper are introduced, such as the typical theory of solving the dynamic characteristics of rotor systems and the Newmark-β method of solving kinetic equations are derived. In this paper, we used rubbing model.This paper introduces the mechanism. At the same time, we set up in the wrong-fault of the coupling dynamic model. At the same time support model used for the purpose of this article were analyzed, and introduces the model of the rolling bearing and oil film force model.Build misalignment model, rubbing model and misalignment-rubbing model under the simple support.Make a simple analysis on the dynamic characteristics of rotor system under the simple support in the healthy condition. Do a research on dynamic properties of rotor system in the case of misalignment, rubbing, misalignment-rubbing based on nonlinear theory and numerical solution.Investigate the influnence of parameters on the system such as misalignment angle, clearance, rubbing stiffness, rotational speed, friction coefficient and unbalance value. Discover the law of periodic motion and compare it with the experimental data.Secondly, build misalignment model, rubbing model and misalignment-rubbing model under the support of rolling bearing.Make a simple analysis on the dynamic characteristics of rotor system under the support of rolling bearing in the healthy condition. Do research on dynamic properties of rotor system in the case of misalignment-rubbing, misalignment, rubbing.Investigate the influnence of parameters on the system such as misalignment angle, clearance, rubbing stiffness, rotational speed, friction coefficient and unbalance value. Discover the law of periodic motion and compare it with the experimental data.Thirdly, build misalignment model, rubbing model and misalignment-rubbing model under the support of oil film bearing.Make a simple analysis on the dynamic characteristics of rotor system under the support of oil film bearings in the healthy condition. Do research on dynamic properties of rotor system in the case of misalignment-rubbing, misalignment, rubbing.Investigate the influnence of parameters on the system such as misalignment angle, clearance, rubbing stiffness, rotational speed, friction coefficient and unbalance value. Discover the law of periodic motion and compare it with the experimental data.
