ANSYS finite element analysis software is used to establish a mega frame model. The input acceleration peak value is 70cm/s2, 140cm/s2, 400cm/s2, ELCENTRO, Taft and Nanjing wave. The model analysis and dynamic response analysis are conducted to compare the effect of the second frame stiffness variation on the overall seismic performance of mega frame structures:(1)Mega frame structure in this study, the structure of the two levels of the force performance is obvious, in which the main frame and sub frame work together to resist the earthquake, and the main frame is the main lateral force components, but also bear more earthquake. Under different seismic waves, the mega frame structures show that the lateral displacement curves with shear deformation are the main characteristics of the frame structure.(2) The maximum horizontal displacement curves of 3 seismic waves are obtained by using 3 sets of model. The results of model 1 show that the maximum displacement of ELCENTRO wave and Nanjing wave are 1.71 times and 1.64 times of Taft wave, and the maximum displacement of model 2 is 1.2 times that of ELCENTRO wave and 1.7 times of Taft wave, and The results of model 3 show that the maximum displacement of Taft wave and Nanjing wave are 1.2 times of ELCENTRO wave(3) By applying the same structural model to the same seismic wave, the acceleration curves of the 3 groups of structural models are obtained, and the weak layer position of the structural model is obtained. And show the difference between ELCNTRO and Taft wave and Nanjing wave in seismic wave properties.(4) ELCENTRO wave is applied to the 3 set of models,The change of displacement curves of the 3 groups showed that the maximum horizontal displacement of the model 1 was 1.19 times that of model 2,and 2.18 times that of model 3. Under the action of Taft wave, the maximum horizontal displacement of model 1 is 1.02 times that of model 2, and is 1.13 times of model 3. Under the action of Nanjing wave, the maximum horizontal displacement of model 1 is 1.1 times that of model 2, and is 1.82 times of model 3. Thus, with the increase of the stiffness of the frame, the horizontal displacement of the structure is gradually reduced, and the change of the second frame has a certain influence on the displacement of the whole structure.
