Excavator is a kind of construction machinery working in bad situation, widely used in constructionFmine, iron way, port and so on. Boom of Excavator is a important part of attachment and the key of assignment. Strain analysis s an important p security of Dynamic strength of it. Consequently, summering and developing it is necessary.This paper use 3D software Solidworks to build Excavator s model at first. Prototype model of Excavator is established with the theory of FEA and mutli-body dynamic then. This paper, from aspect of dynamic, analyzed force of boom; stress analysis, used FEA which widely used, and software Solidworks Simulation to analyze the stress of boom; optimization, searched problems in optimization, used orthogonal experiment to optimize the boom.This paper applied traditional stress analysis method to boom in three situations, got correct force performance of boom, based advanced dynamic analysis; used orthogonal experiment to decrease the prolonged time and dismissed problem of the invalid in optimization; analyzed the optimization of position of hinge point, got a better position.
