With the rapid development of economy and technology in the world, the problem of resource consumption and environmental pollution seriously affect the production and life of human beings, therefore, the energy saving and environmental protection technology is the inevitable trend of improving the competitiveness of the product. Excavator is a widely used engineering machinery, which has the problem of high energy consumption and poor emissions, so the research on the energy saving technology of excavator has the important significance.In this paper the DL15-8 hydraulic excavator is taken as the object, the experimental platform of the potential energy recovery system of the movable boom of the hydraulic excavator with accumulator as the storage element is proposed, the theoretical simulation and experimental study are also carried out.First, the kinematic model of the excavator working device is established by D-H coordinate method, the coordinate position of the center of gravity of the boom, the bucket rod and the connecting rod is obtained, and the formula for calculating the potential energy of the working device is obtained. The dynamic model of excavator is built by using ADAMS software, and the force curve of hydraulic cylinder piston rod is obtained.Secondly, the energy loss of the excavator working device is analyzed, aiming at the problem of potential energy loss when the excavator boom falls, and a kind of energy recovery system of the movable arm of the battery pack as the energy storage element is presented. The SimulationX simulation model of the movable arm potential energy recovery system is established. Through the simulation, it is concluded that the energy recovery of the energy value, recovery efficiency, to verify the possibility of the scheme, the energy recovery system applicable to other tonnage excavator provides a theoretical basis.Then, on the basis of the DL15-8 hydraulic excavator, the experimental platform of the excavator boom potential energy recovery system is built, the related potential energy recycling experiments were carried out to evaluate the stability of the system and the energy saving effect of the system. The experimental results show that the recovery system, the proposed boom potential recovery system is stable, with a preliminary energy-saving effect. Finally, some important factors that affect the potential energy recovery efficiency are analyzed.Finally, the recovery of the movable arm potential energy recovery system is lower and the time of the boom is lower, and the work efficiency is lower, the factors affecting the recovery efficiency are analyzed, and the key parameters of the recovery hydraulic motor are studied. The optimization of the original potential energy recovery system is optimized, and the simulation analysis is carried out, and the results provide a good basis for the further research.
