We conduct a survey, take the exploitation and construction of the Xiangtan estate for example. Came to the following conclusions:(1)To summarize and sum up of the landscape plant plan of the villa and design theory and the principle through methods such as literature analysis, field investigation, case study etc. This paper came up with the idea that landscape plant plan of the villa design should follow the principles of sustainable development, the effective utilization of resources and the principle of combining the ecological environment protection, the principle of combining the natural landscape and human landscape and humanized principle, function principle, the principle of economic rationality.(2)On the whole the plant landscape in the villa area of Xiangtan plant allocation is better and adopt reasonable on the basis of field survey on the current situation of plant landscape planning and design analysis. There also exists some problems in the villa plant landscape of Xiangtan. For example, they would Blindly introduced some expensive Plant landscape, but there are short of native feature landscapes; Configuration of the plant is unreasonable, and Ignore the eco-design requirement of the plant; Emphasis on the recent effect of plant landscape to much; The landscape neglect ecological economy and the general layout lack of the beauty of artistic conception; Scientific maintenance is not in place. Meanwhile, Aiming at the problems of Xiangtan plant landscape in the villa, put forward some measures to solve the problem like strengthen the government management, maintenance and plan of landscape plant three aspects.(3)This paper take the wild estate in Xiangtan for example, using plant landscape planning and design of related theory to discuss the location survey、the present situation analysis、the design concept、landscape design、landscape design goals and style of the function、peculiarity and economy、functional zoning、green plant、the application of landscape plants, etc. Which based on the natural topography and architecture layout, with rich layers of plant community in combination with stream plunge and natural sand stone, matched with delicate road、bridge、pavilion sculpture、and strengthen the group inside the village green space and vertical greening means to create a natural ecological style such as elegant villa landscape planning and design concept were analyzed.
