Flexible Manufacturing System For Pipe Flanges Of Box Type Air Blower

Flexible manufacturing system is an automatic manufacturing system which is composed of computer integrated management and control, high efficiency of manufacturing and medium volume parts. This system has the characteristics of high flexibility, short processing time and high machining quality.A large number of market demands making the enterprise need to improve the level of automation. This paper introduces a kind of connection of box type fan, and there is no special processing system for this kind of parts, this paper will be the first research and development of this system to meet the processing needs of enterprises.The structure of the connecting parts is formed by four pipe flanges which has eight kinds of different specifications, each kind of different flanges require different processing, the main processing requirements have hit lateral holes, hit bottom holes and cutting edge.From the perspective of mechanical structure, the structure of each station should be able to meet the processing requirements of all flanges, which requires each station to have sufficient mechanical flexibility. From the point of program control, the processing requirements of different specifications of the flange are different, which requires the control system to determine the type of the flange, and start the corresponding control procedures. So the machining system has a very high requirement for the mechanical flexibility and the control flexibility.The main content of the thesis are:the analysis of the flange structure and processing tasks to determine the system processing module; Analysis of enterprise demand and production cycle to determine the structure and layout of automation system; Specific mechanical implementation scheme of manufacturing system design, detailed design process and design principles; On the basis of detailed analysis of control system of flexible, completed the system of electrical control and system software design; Developed a prototype and applied for a patent for invention.
