| The ring chain transmission system of an Armoured Face Conveyor (AFC) is consisted of the sprockets, flight bars and ring chains. In practical work process, the driving force makes the sprockets running, and it pulls the chains and the flight bars. Finally the coal moved. So the ring chain transmission system is an important component of AFC, and its reliability will directly affect the capacity and efficiency of AFC. The paper studied the dynamic behavior of transmission system, and optimized mathematical and simulation model. The preloading force of the chain transmission system and typical working conditions of AFC were discussed. The main work and achievements include the following contents:(1) According to the finite element method of rigid body, the model of the ring chain transmission system was established. The chain transmission system was discretized into the Kelvin-Voigt model by the finite element method and the fluid mechanics. According to the site of the chains, the ring chain transmission system was divided into some elements. At last, the vertical discrete dynamic model was established.(2) In order to make the model to conform to the actual system, some factors which include inclined lay, bending lay and preloading force were studied. So several important parameters of the ring chain transmission system were studied and analyzed.(3) According to the actual working condition, the elasticity and damping of the elements of the ring chain transmission system were discussed.(4) The simulation model of the transmission system was built by using the software of Matlab/Simulink package.(5) The Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) was established by using the software of Matlab/GUIDE package. And users could change the parameters of the simulation model by the GUI.(6) According to the results of the simulation, both-way damping model is more reasonable compared with one-way damping model. The preloading force of the chain transmission system was analyzed and studied. Finally some typical working conditions which include the chain block and freely stopping were simulated. The paper studied the character of the chain transmission system and this novel method offers a theoretical basis for designing and matching the key components. |
