Lakeside Resort Landscape Design Based On Environmental Remediation

In China, there are abundant types of resources for lake tourism. And with the unique landscape and natural resources, lakeside tourist resortsalways attract large mount of tourists. However, the over-exploitation of natural resources and the overload of tourists lead to some negative impacts on the environment. In addition, the remainsof industrial pollution, which in the lakeside region, still be a serious problem for tourism. Therefore, how to design and plan the landscape and its functionof a lakeside resort with environment friendly conception, and achieve the sustainable development of Lacustrine tourism become an important project in urban planning and other relative researches in recent years.With the analysis and research of the Landscape Ecology, Environmental Remediation, Ecological Economy, Sustainable Development and Regional Planing theory, this paper aimed to apply multidisciplinary theories to a practical scheme planning. In the case study of Huzhou South Taihu Lake Tourist Resort, the article combined the environmental problem solving with landscape design of the resort. Based on the field research of the current exploitation condition and environmental situation of the target region, the article introduced the application of adaptive environmental techniques, like artificial wetland, rainwater collection system, roof greening, ecological revetment, for the landscape design. With these ecological and environmental remediation landscape, it formed a complete eco-landscape system of the resort by the Huanxiu Wetland Eco-Park, the Eco-District, the Eco-Landscape Area with forest, the eco-landscape in commercial districts and hotel zones. Based on the complex eco-network development around Taihu Lake, this article put forward some suggestions about the use of ecological techniques and materials, the establishment of eco-operation mechanism and ecological function system, for the operating management and the environmental improvement method of the resort. It aimed to achieve the sustainable development of the resort’s economy and the demonstration effect for the landscape planning of other cities and tourist areas in the Taihu Basin or even on the national scale.
