With the development of social economy and the improvement of civil living standards, as one of the major means of transportation, cars have been more and more popular, meanwhile, safe driving has increasingly became the focus of the public, automotive radars have attracted more and more attention as one of the means of active safety precautions. Compared with other frequency bands which have been used in automotive radars,77GHz band owns more advantages, and it is going to be the trend of future automotives radars.The mean work of this thesis is on some key technologies of 77GHz automotive radars.The thesis is organized as follow.Chapter One provides the overview on present research situation of 77GHz automotive radars home and abroad and the mean work of this thesis.Chapter Two introduce the basic principle and overall design scheme of 77GHz automotive radars.Chapter Three focus on the design of antennas for 77GHz automotive radars. In order to complete the measurement of this band of antnnas, one substrate integrated waveguide(SIW) to rectangular waveguide transition is designed firstly, then one 8-elements slots linear array SIW antenna and one 16-elements slots linear array SIW antenna are been designed, one 4x16 slots planar array SIW antenna is designed base on the design of 16-elements slots linear array. All designs include transition, and all the antennas are fabricated and measured. The correctness has been verified by the measurement.Chapter Four foucus on the designs of bandpass filter with harmonic suppression, one two-order, one four-order and one five-order bandpass filter based on stepped impedance resonator(SIR) are designed, demonstrator filters are all fabricated and measured based on the simulations, measurement results agree well with the simulation results, which can verify the correctness of the designs.Chapter Five focus on the basic algorithm for distance, velocity and angle measurements of 77GHz automotive radars, simulation program is coded based on Matlab, the feasibility of the algorithm is verified by the implementation of the simulation under the circumstances of one target.
