With the rapid development of domestic economy,many people buy cars.And traffic accidents increase in frequency over recent years.Automotive collision avoidance radar is a kind of equipment that can give warning signals.Compared with low frequency radar,77 GHz automotive collision avoidance radar has many advantages,such as further detection distance,higher recognition accuracy and stronger anti-interference ability.Ridge waveguide has advantages such as wideband,small size,low loss,easy processing,and waveguide slot array has advantages such as high-power capacity.In this paper,the two designs above are combined together,and one single ridge waveguide slot array antenna is designed successfully using full wave simulation platform.The main innovations of this thesis are as follows:Firstly,the single ridge waveguide slot array is applied in the design of automotive radar antenna,which allows greater flexibility in the design of automotive collision avoidance radar.Secondly,what is different from traditional single ridge waveguide slot array antenna is that the slots in this antenna are not isolated,but connected with the adjacent ones,which ensures that the slot array can be fabricated more flexibly.Thirdly,a direct-connected transition is designed,which ensures that the single ridge waveguide slot array antenna can be measured using vector network analyzer.
