With the development of urban rail transit network and the growth in travel demand, the number of passenger grows dramatically, which brings a continuous increase of pressure to urban rail transit operation. For the urban rail transit system, station plays a decisive role on the transport capacity of rail lines. For the station, however, the key part of the platform passenger movement is passenger alighting and boarding movement. Therefore, the main purpose of this paper is investigating passenger alighting and boarding movement at junction of stations and trains, and their impact factors. The main works are follows.(1) Investigation and research of passenger alighting and boarding movement factors. This paper designs survey program and conducts field investigations in Beijing subway from the perspective of the passengers. Then it analyses compositions of passenger alighting and boarding factors, and forms a summary of the survey results with the specific situation of the survey, which summarizes passenger alighting and boarding factors system from three aspects of stations, trains and passengers. Then it analyzes the factors by using the interpretative structural model and obtains the hierarchical structure of factors, which determines that experimental factor of alighting and boarding experiments are the number of passengers boarding and the number of passengers alighting, door width, location of vertical handrail and size of keep out zone.(2) Passenger alighting and boarding movement experiment Research. According to the determined experimental factors, this article uses orthogonal experiment design method, and studies on alighting and boarding movement from two aspects, one is modeling experiment on the experimental platform, and the other is the simulation experiment on simulation software. And alighting and boarding time is regarded as the experimental index to measure the experimental result. In the process of modeling experiment, experimental background is simulation car and simulation platform of experiment platform ensuring urban rail transit network operation safety, and it develops a camera video recording system for video monitoring and recording o the modeling experiment. And the video is processed by artificial statistics. Then the method of range analysis is to analyze modeling experimental results. In the simulation experiment, experiment environment and passenger behavior are simulated by AnyLogic, and the method of range analysis and variance are used to analyze experimental results. The results of modeling experiment and simulation experiment are complementary to each other, where it obtains that the significance orders is door width, location of vertical handrail and size of keep out zone.(3) Verification of passenger alighting and boarding movement examples. This paper takes alighting and boarding movement of "key" door in Chongwenmen station of Beijing subway as the research example, and simulation environment and passenger behavior of examples are set by AnyLogic software combined with optimal level group obtained from model experiment and simulation. Then simulation results and the data of examples is compared and analyzed. Meanwhile, it explains that the efficiency of alighting and boarding can be improved by changing door width, location of vertical handrail and size of keep out zone and other factors, which achieves the purpose of easing passenger congestion and ensuring the safety of passengers.
