With the development of the steer-by-wire system rapidly, the requirement of the safety and stability of the car is more and more rigorous. For travelling on the road safely and stably, the vehicle need be controlled by the active front steering. In order ro achieve these requirements, the research on the control of the steer-by-wire is considered the main research topics in the future.Firstly, each component and how it works of the steer-by-wire system is detailed analyzed in this paper. And the differential equations of the each component are determined on the basis of the above analysis. At the same time, the model of the steer-by-wire system is established by using the software of Matlab/Simulink. Then the built model of steer-by-wire system is applied to the vehicle model of CarSim.Secondly, the controller of the adaptive Fuzzy Neural Network is designed based on the feedback of yaw rate in order to study the control strategy of the active front steering. Then the control model of the active steering is built.Finally, the driving simulator of the vehicle steer-by-wire is built. And the control strategy and the controller of the active front steering is verified.By Matlab/Simulink simulation and the experiment validation of vehicle driving simulator based on the steer-by-wire, the studied control strategy and the designed controller can improve the handling stability of vehicle.
