Vehicle steering-by-wire system eliminates mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the steering wheel, can be more easily achieved with active steering control, because of the lack of mechanical connection, real-time road feel of the vehicle can not be passed to the driver. In view of this disadvantage by-wire steering system based on the design of the road feel simulation algorithm, the advantages of wire steering system based on a new study of active steering control strategy. Specific research into the following areas:(1) Steering-by-wire vehicle model is established. Structure and principles of wire steering system is analyzed, divided into the steering wheel module, analog module road feel, the steering actuator, rack and pinion module and the left and right steering wheel module into six parts, using established mathematical Degradation model, application Matalab/Simulink software and CarSim software, build steering-by-wire vehicle model.(2) Study on simulation system of steering-by-wire road feel. Paper presents direct measurement of steering motor current to obtain the steering process to the motor torque generated by the motor road feel simulation algorithm, and take the center to the simulation test condition and direction wheel angle sinusoidal input simulation test conditions of the algorithm is verified, verification results show that algorithm can according to the pilot and the actual vehicle state produced good sense.(3) Active steering control strategy research. Design to actual and ideal horizontal pendulum angular velocity and the actual and ideal Side-slip angle deviation as input of the adaptive fuzzy PI controller, in the presence of destabilizing conditions by of front wheel steering angle correction to improve vehicle driving stability, and through the simulation test on the effectiveness of control strategies of experimental verification.(4) In the loop test driving simulator hardware. Application of Liaoning University of Technology automobile driving simulator hardware in the loop test design test conditions, on the road simulation algorithm and active steering control strategy to verify hardware in the loop test.
