The fatigue durability for the vehicle development has attracted a lot of car enterprise attention as a very important step, because it is closely related with the security and reliability of the car. While good durability performance can bring more consumers’ trusts and improve the market share of automobile manufacturers.In this paper, the vehicle multi-body dynamics model of the certain type SUV is established, simulating to get the load information for fatigue life analysis of the body in white with the road spectrum. Based on static analysis and combined with material fatigue performance test, fatigue durability for body in white is analyzed.First installing sensors for the test sample vehicle of this type SUV, and driving the car in the automotive proving ground to collect the strengthen road load spectrum information after debugging the sensors.Then analysis and arrange the collected signal as the input for full vehicle multi-body dynamics simulation. Second establishing full vehicle multi-body dynamics model with multi-body dynamics simulation software, then simulationing to get the dynamic load information of each join point between body and chassis with the collected road load spectrum information as input. Further getting parts of the material S-N curve in the body in white by test, as the material input for fatigue durability analysis of the body in white. Finally the body in white of SUV’s finite element model is established, calculating the body in white static analysis results under unit load by using the principle of inertial release.Combing the load information of each join point between body and chassis and the material S-N curves to simulate to get the rusults of fatigue life of the body in white.
