Seismic design is a topic of common concern around the world, and there are a lot of theories of seismic analysis. However, it is no longer suitable for the development of the modern building with the simple aim of structural safety. When a strong earthquake occurs, we not only to ensure the safety of the building structure, but also to ensure that the various functions of the building can still operate normally. In this trend, the concept of performance-based seismic design of buildings was proposed firstly in foreign countries, and received great attention. This theory has been introduced into China, and its development in China is very rapid. At present, the performance-based seismic design has been written into many norms in china.With the rapid development of China’s economy, the accelerated process of urbanization, the population of the city has also increased rapidly, which makes the already very limited land resources become increasingly tense. The construction of super high rise building can effectively alleviate the pressure of limited resources and space to a certain extent, thus the significance of its existence is more obvious and important. However, due to the particularity and importance of the super high-rise building, once it has been seriously damaged in the earthquake, or even collapse, it is bound to cause great casualties and huge property losses. Thus, the seismic performance of super-tall buildings needs to be special attention.To solve these problems, this paper study to analyze the following aspects:1. In this paper, in the first chapter on the formation decomposition reaction spectrum method, elastic time history analysis method and static elastic plasticity analysis method, the elastic plastic time history analysis method, such as the four seismic analysis basic theory were described in detail, and points out their respective advantages and disadvantages.2. In the second chapter this paper introduces the basic overview of the research project, and its summary of the overrun, and then select seismic methods according to standardized requirements, finally clear the object of study on engineering of rare earthquake design elastic-plastic time history analysis.3. In the third chapter and the fourth chapter, the SAUSAGE software and MIDAS-Gen software are introduced in detail, and the advantages of them are pointed out. And then using the SAUSAGE software and MIDAS-Gen software overrun structure of the rare met under the action of seismic elastic-plastic time history analysis, and come to the interlayer displacement angle, inter story displacement and deformation damage analysis results.4. The last chapter compares the analysis results of two kinds of software, and then makes an assessment of the seismic performance of the structure and puts forward the measures to solve the problems.The purpose of this paper is to analyze and study the dynamic elastic-plastic behavior of the super high rise structures, and to understand the factors that affect the dynamic characteristics of the structure, which provides the basis for the design, and lays the foundation for future research work.
