As an important information technology, Geographic Information System(GIS) has been applied to all areas of transportation management,especially in road planning, road infrastructure management, travel information services. A huge number transportation spatial information and data has been produced in the process of constructing information management system, the information and data have played a significant role in the areas of transport industry management, decision analysis, public services. However, without unified planning and Top-level design process, multi-scales and multi-format spatial data has been produced, formed a plurality of “Information island”, it’s very difficult to update and maintenance data. In other hand, difference supporting platform and display mode have been selected, a large number of road geographic information data cannot be shared, resulting in duplication and waste of money. In this context, the construction of "traffic geographic information sharing platform" sharing service platform for the transportation industry geographic information unified management, publishing, sharing, application, and further enhance the province’s transportation geographic information application ability, avoid duplication saving construction and operation costs, the transport sector, "a map" shared service applications.Combined transport sector data resource characteristics and application requirements, this paper from the following three aspects of Construction and Transportation Geographic Information Sharing Platform:1)Construction and Transportation GIS data centerConstruction province’s transportation GIS data center, including basic geographic data, traffic thematic data, remote sensing data, and from national roads to township roads, waterways.2)Construction and Transportation GIS data sharing system Base on SOA architecture and OGC standards, building the transport sector GIS sharing service platform, including data services, web mapping and service functions of three parts.3)Construction maintenance management systemConstruction maintenance management system, including rights management, service management, data update management, service monitoring, analysis and other functions to ensure transportation of geographic information sharing platform running normally and stably.The platform serves to transportation Through data acquisition, service providers and application service three aspects.
