Project Design Of Nanjiao Water Purification Plant In Urumqi City

With the development of urban construction and dramatic increase of population, water shortage problem is becoming increasingly acute. As the important infrastructure of city, water supply project plays a guiding and restricting role in the urban development. Nowadays, the water supply facilities and capacity of water purification plants in Urumqi city not only can’t ensure residents’ basic life water, but also can’t meet the need of the development of society and economy. Urumqi city builds Nanjiao water purification plant, and this paper carries on the engineering design.The raw water is from Wulapo reservoir and the water treatment plant’s outlet implements the sanitary demand of drinking water in drinking water sanitary standard GB5749-2006. The first scale of Nanjiao water purification plant is 200,000 m3/d, while the second scale is 400,000 m3/d.Comparing multiple sites, the northeast of the eighth water plant in Urumqi(that is, Shidunzishan water plant) is determined to build the project. Meanwhile, the project analyzes a variety of treatment processes, and the determined treatment process is mechanical mixing + folded plate flocculating + compound precipitating tank + V-type filter tank. The specific technological process is: raw water ? advection grit chamber ? distribution well ? mixing tank ? flocculation tank ? compound precipitating tank ? air-water backwash filter ? water tank ? urban water supply network. According to the scale of water supply, the size and operation parameters of water treatment and sludge treatment structures are determined through the calculation, followed by the layout design and adjustment.The project effectively improves the water supply capacity of city, and produces good social and environmental benefits.
