Chinese water resources are so rare that the freshwater resources per capita are only 1/4of the world's average.At present in China,water supply is insufficient in 2/3 of cities and even deficient in 1/6 of that,including megacities such as Tianjin,Beijing,Hebei and so on.The problems of water scarcity and water pollution that threaten China's economic and social security gradually are urgent to be solved.The water resource is lacking in China and and has a great difference with regional distribution.The northern area is short of water,while the southern is sufficient and with the continuous development of China's modern industry the pollution of surface water is becoming more and more serious.The residents of northern area are difficult to attach to water,especially because the government's limitation water policy for farmers,so the government has launched the south-to-north water diversion policy to alleviate the problem of drinking water shortage.In this paper,the conversion of surface water to drinking water is realized by the study on process plan of of 30000m~3/d water purification plant in Zhengding area of Hebei Province.This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of traditional and modern waterworks,and introduces several conventional water treatment processes.Through the comparative analysis of water treatment process,we conclude the plan of 30000m~3/d water treatment plant—Integrated water purification equipment as the main process.The main process and related process and equipment configuration in the process of water treatment were studied,and the corresponding design calculation and the selection of parameters were prepared for each system,which provided corresponding parameters for purchasing process equipment.In the design of pretreatment system,intermittent or sudden organic pollutants has taken into consideration and water quality can be further improved,and powdered activated carbon dosing equipment has been added.Before raw water being put into the integrated water purification,the polyacrylamide coagulant will be added with conventional flocculant which effectively improves the flocculation rate and volume of floc in low temperature and low turbidity high turbidity.The main process adopts 6 sets of 5000m3/d carbon steel integrated water purification equipmen,and the dimensions and internal device was calculated in detail.The water purification equipment is good of reaction,sedimentation and filtration and integration,saving area,investment and time,and is convenient to manage.In order to respond to the country's environmental policy of saving water resources and reducing waste rubbish,the reuse device and sludge treatment device for backwash water are specially designed.The full automatic PLC control system is adopted in the control mode.Which reduce the personnel operating cost.During the selection of process plan,a lot of data were consulted,and analogous analysis of similar water purification process was carried out.Problems in operation were analyzed and studied in time,and corresponding improvements were made in this design.Combined with the requirements of investment,area and time limit,especially the requirement of high water quality and volume,this process plan is designed,which can provide reference for similar projects in the future.
