The expressway bridge existing of Jilin Province have many defects or damage, in order to ensure its normal and safe to use, it needs to be reinforced repair and transformation. However, the premise of the reinforcement and repair of bridges is first checking and assessing their current situation effectively and accurately, then select the appropriate reinforcement scheme, after strengthening the bridge again be tested to determine their effectiveness and the ability to use reinforcement. carrying out the detection and damage research of bridge are very significant to the reinforcement measures of bridge.This paper, based on the project about three typical highway Chang Ji, Chang Ping, Chang Ying of Jilin Province, carried out the following research work:1, Investigation and analysis of the bridge superstructure about three typical highway Chang Ji, Chang Ping, Chang Ying of Jilin Province and diseases on the bridge superstructure. Based on survey data, to test and assess the status of the bridge superstructure.2, To compare the six common bridge superstructure strengthening methods and learn about these basic principles, application range, advantages and disadvantages.3, Based on 13 m prestressed concrete simply supported hollow slab of Chang Ping highway, firstly, the influence of the length and the number of prestressed steel on the bearing capacity of the bridge is analyzed and based on the analysis results to make sure the length and the number of prestressed steel. At last, the whole and local design of the bridge structure is calculated to verify the effect of reinforcement.4, Based on 20 m small sized simply supported box girder bridge of Chang Ping highway, reinforcement effect of three kinds of schemes for strengthening the pavement, the web and the slab is analyzed. To analyze these three kinds of schemes using finite element method, and the reinforcement effect of increasing the cross-section reinforcement method is analyzed.
