Photovoltaic step-up transformer is one of the important equipments in PV power station, after boosting voltage it would delivery alternating voltage which comes from inverter to the grid. So conducting design and research of photovoltaic step-up transformer, making it have certain ability crossing low voltage and good characteristic of impedance, meeting the requirement of PV power station, to ensure the large on-grid PV power station can work safely and stably.The basic structure, working principle and main technical parameters of transformer are summarized after a large of domestic and overseas literatures’reading work, making traditional photovoltaic step-up transformer’s structure design for the structure of axial split-winding. Then split-winding transformer leakage magnetic field simulation is done by using of finite element analysis software ANSYS on the base of establishing equivalent circuit model and magnetic circuit model of axial split-winding transformer. In addition, axial split-winding transformer’s calculation method of burden parameters during economic operation is deduced from this paper.Secondly, the theory that photovoltaic step-up transformer with split-winding has ability crossing low voltage is proofed by analyzing resistance voltage value. The composition, operation mode of PV power station and the technical requirements of grid-connected PV power station are studied in this paper, drawing specific electromagnetic design scheme of photovoltaic step-up transformer with split-winding. And the application of photovoltaic step-up transformer with split-winding has obvious economic benefit, it’s derived from the principle of transformer’s substation cost in ten years.Finally, the impedance during crossing operation, impedance during semi-crossing operation and impedance during split operation are computed by software ANSYS. The result of the simulation verifies the validity and accuracy of using the finite element method to calculate resistance voltage.
