The rotary compressor has been widely used in daily life with its small volume, simple structure, and light quality. Vibration and noise is the important performance of the rotary compressor. Vibration and noise will affect people’s daily life and work. So it is significant to control the vibration and noise of the rotary compressor. This paper trends to reduce them from dynamic system through various means. The main research content and achievements are as follows:(1) When the compressor works in specific frequency band, fourfold frequency is greater than fundamental frequency. The reason may be the structure resonance and the noise and vibration is in excess of the criterion. The natural frequencies of the rotary compressor are obtained by the modal experiment. The sweep experiments analysis the rule and feature on the vibration response of the compressor. Noise source identification is used to determine the position of the noise source. These researches confirm that the structure resonance is the main cause of the over standard vibration.(2) Changing the natural response could affect the vibration transmission properties. This mean can reduce the vibration response. Adding mass can reduce the natural response of the system and avoid resonance. The bracket of the system has been changed from 1 to 2 to increase stiffness, which also can reduce the vibration response.(3) Comparing the results before and after the improvement, two means both can reduce the vibration response, project 2 is better.
