Axial piston pump is widely used in the filed of aviation and other fluid power transmission because of the compact structure and high power density. Slipper pair and piston pair are two main friction pairs in axial piston pump. Due to a long period of high-speed and heavy load of the two friction pair, the lubrication condition is more complex, so the friction pair become more important on the pump performance, reliability and life. It will help to design and optimization of friction pair, thus to improve the performance of piston pump.In this paper, a high-speed aviation axial-piston pump is studied. The simulation and experimental research on the oil film characteristics of the slipper pair and the piston pair are carried out. The motion and force analysis of the piston pump are analyzed, the wedge oil film thickness field and pressure field model of the slipper pair are established based on the oil chamber pressure damping characteristics of the wedge oil film of the slipper pair, the oil film thickness field and pressure field model of the piston pair are established under the state of the piton is tilted. The oil film characteristics of the slipper pair and the piston pair under different rotating speed and pressure are simulated through the MATLAB software, the periodic variation of oil film thickness and pressure distribution of the slipper pair which are effected by the static pressure support, the squeezing effect and the dynamic pressure effect under different rotating speed and pressure is obtained, and the variation of film thickness and pressure distribution of the piston pair under the tilted piston is obtained. A model pump is designed for the test of the oil film characteristics of the slipper pair and the piston pair, and a test system based on the model pump is set up, the simulation results of the oil film thickness of the slipper pair and the pressure of the oil film of the piston pair are verified through the test research, and some suggestions for the improvement of the test according to the test problem are proposed.The main contents of this paper are as follows:In chapter 1, the research background and significance of the friction pair of the axial piston pump are described. And the research status at home and abroad of the characteristics of oil film for the slipper pair and piston pair is summarized.In chapter 2, the motion law and the force of the axial piston pump are analyzed, and the movement model of the axial piston pump and the force model of the slipper pair and piston pair are established.In chapter 3, the thickness field and pressure field model of the wedge oil film for the slipper pair are established based on the analysis of damping characteristics of the wedge oil film for the slipper pair, and using finite volume method for the oil film pressure field control equation discretization of the slipper pair, using Newton iterative method for solving the coupling relationship of slipper force/torque and oil film bearing reaction of the slipper pair. MATLAB software is used to solve the pressure field and thickness field model of the oil film of the slipper pair at different pressure and different rotating speed.In chapter 4, the thickness field and pressure field model of the oil film for the piston pair are established based on the analysis for the state of the piston in the cylinder bore, and using finite volume method for the oil film pressure field control equation discretization of the piston pair, using Newton iterative method for solving the coupling relationship of piston force/torque and oil film bearing reaction of the piston pair. MATLAB software is used to solve the pressure field and thickness field model of the piston pair.In chapter 5, a model pump is designed to test the characteristics of the oil film of the slipper pair and the piston pair, and the test system for the study on the characteristics of oil film for slipper pairs and piston pair is designed and builded based on the model pump, the actual test is carried out and the test results are analyzed, and also puts forward some suggestions for the improvement of the test.In chapter 6, the main research work and conclusions of this paper are summarized, and the future work and direction are also discussed and suggested.
