The high voltage circuit breaker, which is key equipment in power grid playing control and protection role, is the important equipment in power transmission system. The hydraulic operating mechanism is the core component of circuit breaker, as its driver. The operating performance of high voltage circuit breaker is largely depends onthe mechanical properties of hydraulic operating mechanism. As the characteristics of fast response, large instantaneous power and long-time to wait, hydraulic operating mechanism is better than other type operating mechanism. For the inevitable defects of hydraulic operating mechanism of highvoltage circuit breaker especially of hydraulic operating mechanism, which is used for highvoltage and high-power circuit breaker due to processing and design of mechanism, this article describes a new type hydraulic operating mechanism, which is used for high-voltage and highpower circuit breaker. Providing references for how to design and optimize a new type highperformance and high-reliability hydraulic operating mechanism.In this thesis, a new type high voltage and high power hydraulic operating mechanism for circuit breaker operating mechanism was studied. The solid model was set up by threedimensional drawing software. The theoretical study and mathematical modelonthe Structure and working principle of this new hydraulic operating mechanism was carried out, which is using simulation software and the theoretic of Hydraulic drive and Hydrodynamics.Using this mathematical model, this thesis analysed stress state of the piston rod on the opening and closing processes of hydraulic operating mechanism, which is the key component of this hydraulic operating mechanism. The finite element analysis of piston rod was also done using finite element analysis software, to check whether it meets the requirements of working conditions and put forward improvement measures. At the same time, analysed the motion characteristic of piston rod on the opening and closing processes of hydraulic operating mechanism. Thus the operating process of the operating mechanism of the operating process is more thorough and intuitive, the hydraulic operating system for the development and upgrading of a strong basis.
