Spiral bevel gears are the basic mechanical transmission components. In this paper, the influence rules of the control parameters are researched on the tooth surface contact area. And the forward the design concept of multiple control parameters optimization and adjustment were putted. In order to provide a theoretical basis and fast solution for the adjustment of parameters in the production process.In the paper, spiral bevel gears were begined with the meshing principle and described conjugate surface curvature relationships, and through the research of manufacture and machining principle of spiral bevel gears. The design process of wheel blank parameters was finished. Using Matlab software to calculating tooth surface mesh point. And using Solidworks software to establish the three-dimensional model of spiral bevel gears. Finally, the meshing principle of tooth surface equation is derived by the principle of gear cutting machining process.A computer program was developed to simulate the adjustment of the contact area of the tooth surface. The tooth contact analysis of a set of spiral bevel gears was calculated. The reasonable adjustment of control parameters of small wheels was finished, The ideal tooth contact analysis result was obtained.And through the analysis of the influence and law of the adjustment of processing parameters of each unit to the contact area and motion curve of tooth surface. The reasonable accuracy error in the adjustment of machining parameters was also researched, the influence and regularity of the adjustment of radial cutter position, vertical wheel position, angle cutter position, axial wheel position and adjustment error of bed to the tooth contact analysis was obtained. And the more sensitive key processing parameters were determined. Providing theoretical guidance for the theoretical design of spiral bevel gears and the adjustment of production process control parameters. Finally, the forward concept of multiple control adjustment parameters optimization was putted, In order to provide reference for the realization of the optimal solution of automatic parameter adjustment of tooth contact analysis.
