In recent years, haze and other environmental problems caused by fossil fuel have gradually attracted the attention, and people are constantly adding new demand for energy. Wind energy is a widespread and clean energy in our country, and wind power has great market and benefits, so small wind power system has become a hot research direction. Compared to conventional permanent magnet wind turbines, wind turbines with large inductance have wide operating speed range, substantially constant output current, etc, is more suitable for small-scale wind sites. This paper introduced the characteristics of the large inductance generator, and the current source inverter(CSI), circuit topology, control method and other aspects are analyzed and studied.First of all, this paper introduces the developing status and the technological development trend of wind power system, analyze the classification of permanent magnet wind turbine, and the high inductance characteristics were studied. Secondly, the topology of the various wind power generation systems are classified and discussed in this paper, and the topology of uncontrolled rectifier with CSI is determined. The inverter is the core of small-scale wind power system, so this paper have a detailed study of CSI, then this paper builds a small wind power system simulation model in MATLAB, and the simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of the control strategy of the structure and topology. The direct current control strategy can reduce the distortion of the output waveform and then describes a method of maximum power tracking control. Based on the simulation, this paper chooses TMS320F28335 DSP as the control chip and writes the control program in CCS v3.3 environment, then draws a control flow chart of the system and finally produced a hardware circuit test system, including a rectifier circuit, an inverter circuit, a filter circuit, and the current detection circuit. Preliminary results of the circuit demonstrate the feasibility of small wind power system.
