As the most widely used one-dimensional space deployable mechanism, the Space Deployable Mast is used to deploy, support and locate space payloads. In order to guarantee the axial rigidity, root locking mechanism locates and locks the root of space deployable mast after its deployment, and plays an important role in the operation of the mast. However, its movement reliability is staggering because of the complexity of the working environment. So the studies on movement reliability of some related space deployable mechanism are of theoretical significance and practical value.Taking the root locking mechanism of space articulated deployable mast as the research object, using the mechanical reliability analysis method according to the mission profile and considering the failure correlation, the movement reliability of root locking mechanism is analyzed, which specifically includes:Based on the work principle of root locking mechanism, its mission profile is divided into lock-in process, locking state and unlocking process. Thereinto, the lock-in process includes start-up stage, movement stage and locating stage, and the unlocking process includes the start-up phase, the movement phase and unlock phase.According to the different force conditions, reliability models of the various stages of the lock-in process are built, technical parameters are set, the reliabilities of the various stages are solved through MATLAB, and finally the reliability evaluation of the lock-in process is accomplished according to the simple bound method.Based on FOSM theory, the system failure probability calculation model when according the failure correlation is inferred, and the feasibility of the calculation model is verified according to the narrow reliability bounds theory through MATLAB. Choosing the main failure mode of root locking mechanism in locking state, using the above calculation model, the failure probability of the root locking mechanism in locking state is solved when considered in the failure correlation.According to the force analysis, reliability models of the various phases in the unlocking process of the root locking mechanism are built, and the corresponding reliabilities are solved according to FOSM. The motion reliability model of the unlocking process is built and the corresponding reliability is solved according to a new simple bound method.In the case of the same technical parameters, by comparing the reliability analysis of the lock-in process, the locking state and the unlocking process, the locking state of the root locking mechanism turns to be the weaker stage, which provide the reference and basis for the design and reliability study of the space deployable mechanism.
