With the revolution in electronic products, more and more persons use it. Because of the excellent properties of products, the range of use is very wide. But it has a disadvantage. That is the element would generate impact load. And the load would cause harmonic and impact reactive power. The traditional reactive power compensation can’t militate. So we will see more power system loss and lower quality. It is the mainly threat to low voltage. But because we give more attention on power quality, a new element has been manufactured. That is static var generator. The static var generator has excellent dynamic performance and tracking compensation. This advantage meet modern power grid criterion. And this element couldn’t generator harmonics. Because of more advantage, the element has gradually been in a hot research. However, in low voltage, something like speed and effectiveness are not perfect. So,in this thesis, a error-free static var generator has been put forward.First, the voltage type of main circuit has been determined. This method has been modeled for verifying probability in mathematical. And using this model, a new current detection which chooses the RBF neural network base on linear cancellation method as a main core are come up. This method is very sensitive, fast and adaptive. And in the comparison with the traditional method, this way is more intelligent and own adaptive ability.And the second one, a optimization control method has been studied. This method suit the low voltage characteristic. And it is one of the fast direct controls. Name is triangle wave comparison. In order to be faster, adding a PR regulator to this control. That regulator could optimize the speed of carrier phase shift. And it also can eliminate harmonic. This two character suit the low voltage. In the end, the sectional hardware and software were design. In hardware, main work is to select the model. In software, main work is to set up a process.According to above-mentioned, the simulation would be built by a software name is SIMULINK. That simulation could prove SVG should compensate reactive power and eliminate harmonic. And the results show this static var generator can do this.
