The ultrasonic feeding devices is a new technology derived from ultrasonic motor, ultrasonic feeding vibrator has the advantages of simple structure, no magnetic interference. And it driving distance can achieve precise level. it is widely applied in the industrial fields, such as chemical, mechanical manufacture, food and pharmacy. And it is urgently needed in the industrial fields and modern laboratories.A structure plan of a novel large size tabular ultrasonic vibratory feeding device is proposed based on the principle of traveling wave ultrasonic feeding, the teeth are located at the external surface of plate type ultrasonic feeding device, piezoceramics is glued to inner face. On the conveying surface with longitudinal slotted, achieve optimized design of modal. Two 14 in-plane bending modes of vibration for the vibrator are found by using FEM. The influence of every physical dimensions of vibrator on 14 bending mode is discussed. The most superior physical dimensions of vibrator are determined. Ultrasonic feeding device is machined and manufactured.The experimental analysis is carried out on the model prototype and the resonant frequencies are tested. The results show that although there is a frequency difference between the theoretical analysis and the practical value, the frequency difference between the same bending modes is almost zero. The along length direction vibrator tooth face’s amplitude distribution is researched, the result indicated that the external surface is verified existence of orthogonality for traveling wave synthetical. The along width direction vibrator tooth face’s amplitude distribution is researched, the result indicated lateral amplitude inhomogeneity problem was solved when the transmission width is large. The test of the performance of the material is carried out, respectively test the voltage, frequency, amplitude, interface, weight, the type of material effect on the transmission rate. The result is shown, the feeding capability of this prototype is approved, the velocity can be controlled precisely.
