With the development of national economy and the improvement of people’sliving standards,the limited road resources have been unable to meet the increasing traffic demand, which has brings in a series oftrafficproblems, such as traffic congestionandtraffic accidents.These trafficproblemsnot only bring a lot of inconvenience to people, but also seriously restrict the development of the cityat the same time.The basic premise of solving these traffic problems is to getthe point of the traffic flow operation state.Car-following behavior and lane-changing behavior as the two common driving behaviorshave an important influence on the operation of traffic flow. This paper focuses on the study of vehicle lane-changing behavior, starting with the analysis of the characteristics of lane-changing behavior, establish a more coincidentwith the factual fact vehicle lane-changing modelbased on the fuzzy control theory. Then analysis of the effect of lane-changing behavior on traffic flow by simulations.Firstly, start from analyzingthe mechanisms of vehicle lane-changing behavior., study on the influencing factors of vehicle lane-changing behavior.Secondly, Based on analyzing the existing research of the model of single lane and two lane traffic flow based on cellular automata,in view of the existence issues of the models, such as the ignoring of adjacent frontvehicle speed,the lane-changing behavior are regarded as the rapid completion of driving behavior and the rule of lane-changing is too single. Under the premise of the applicability of the fuzzy control theory in the description of vehicle lane-changing behavior, a vehicle lane-changing model based on fuzzy control theory is established. In the model, the influence of the adjacent front vehicle speed, the influence of the vehicle type and the relative speed is considered, the lane-changing behavior description is more accurately.Secondly,improved the car-following model’s evolution rules. MATLAB simulation is carried out by combining the car-following model with the vehicle lane-changing model. By comparing the simulation results with the measured data,verify the validity of the model.Finally, in order to study the effect of vehicle lane-changing behavior on traffic flow.Two simulation schemes are designed to increase the number of lane-changing and to reduce the number of lane-changing.By adjusting the scope of the relevant input variables in the vehicle lane-changing model, change these membership functions. Simulatingdifferent schemes based on MATLAB, output traffic volume, traffic density and the average speed.Compared with these simulation results, analysis of the impact of the number of vehicle lane-changing behavior on the traffic flow. To provide the theoretical basis and technical supportfor the traffic management department to make traffic control measures and policy suggestions, which is designed to reduce traffic jam, to improve the running efficiency and safetyof traffic flow.
