Compared with the traditional pneumatic braking system, Electronic Braking System(EBS) which replace traditional air pressure transmission with electronic control can effectively shorten the braking distance, optimize power allocation, improve braking comfort and safety. Based on the EBS, increased the Steering Wheel Angle Sensor(SAS) and electronic stability control module, it can realize the Electronic Stability Control(ESC) function. ESC is a landmark product in the field of vehicle active safety. It can effectively prevent the vehicle sideslip and rollover and reduce the number of traffic accidents. In the study of ESC testing methods and performance evaluation process, taking advantage of real car ESC testing is difficult and has a considerable risk. So the introduction of ESC Hardware In Loop(HIL) system can ensure the safety, accuracy and repeatability of test, and also can greatly reduce the costs. So the research of ESC HIL system has great significance.Based on the WABCO standard bus EBS and ESC ECU, NI Real-Time measurement and Truck Sim software. The research goal is to establish HIL system of bus EBS and ESC that is used to test the function and evaluate the performance of EBS and ESC system. The HIL system can be used in functional verification of ESC, and reference to foreign relevant testing methods of ESC to test. This can provide certain guidance for domestic departments to research the testing methods and establish regulations of ESC.Based on the research objectives mentioned above, Chapter II is starting from the study of the components and working principle of the EBS and ESC system. Based on the analysis of the HIL test bench at home and abroad, and then the design scheme of the HIL test bench is determined, which includes the selection of real-time simulation environment and vehicle dynamics software and so on.Chapter III firstly describes the hardware overall composition of the HIL system. Then the signal I/O boards and real time computers, the two degree of freedom platform for bus ESC controller test, wheel speed signal generation are respectively introduced.Chapter IV describes several important issues in the program designing of the HIL system, which include Truck Sim parametric modeling process of the vehicle model, the connection between the vehicle model and the real-time system, the data acquisition of braking pressure, the wheel speed signal generation and the motor controller of the two degree of freedom platform and so on.In Chapter V, the connection between the target ECU and the HIL system is realized. Before the ECU access to the system, We carried on the diagnosis by diagnostic software. And then several HIL simulations of different virtual test conditions are done on the HIL system with the bus EBS and ESC ECU.The final Chapter is the summary and outlook of the whole paper. It summarizes the work completed in each chapter, points out the defects on current HIL system, and also gives a general outlook of the future work.
