Aerospace engine as the core part of the space shuttle has the direct impact on the performance of the space shuttle. Advanced aero engine technology is an important embodiment of a country’s manufacturing level, scientific level and national defense power. Blisk is a key component of aero engine, and the machining accuracy of blisk plays an important role in improving the performance of the aero engine.The blade and disk of blisk is an integral structure. The blade surfaces of blisk are free-form surfaces, and the blade profile is complex, so the processing and manufacturing process is complex. CNC milling is widely used in forming process of blisk, which makes many cutter marks left on the surface of blade, so the surface roughness is poor and the blade needs polishing process. At present, manual polishing is still widely used as the main method of the blade surface polishing in the domestic, which has many disadvantages such as heavy workload, bad quality and low efficiency. So developing automation equipment for blisk polishing is of great significance to develop the machining precision of blisk, and our team developed a seven-five axis CNC machine tool for blisk polishing and measuring. This paper mainly research on abrasive belt polishing/measuring path planning and processing technology for blisk.The tool path of blade polishing and measuring was generated by using the blisk model, and obtained CL data of blade polishing and measuring. Completed the kinematics model of seven-five axis CNC machine tool, and derived the kinematic solution formula of the machine tool. Developed a NC programming software for blisk polishing and measuring based on MATLAB GUI, which integrated the post-processing algorithm and simplified the post processing work, so we can set and modify the parameters of the machine tool in the operation interface and generate the NC codes efficiently.The abrasive belt is likely to interference with the blisk in the blade polishing process. According to the structure of abrasive belt polishing tool system and the condition of the abrasive belt in the actual blade polishing process, this paper proposed an interference-free angle algorithm of abrasive belt in the contact wheel. Established a simulation model of the seven-five axis CNC machine tool based on VERICUT software and simulated the process of blisk polishing and measuring, which verified the correctness of the NC codes and detected the interference.In this paper, the blade section lines were used as the tool path of the blade polishing and measuring. Derived the blade kinematics formula of actual measurement data, and proposed machining allowance algorithm based on the blade section lines, which can calculate the machining allowance of the polishing points in the blade section lines and detect the machining accuracy of blade.Designed an experimental prototype of stainless steel, and researched the abrasive belt polishing process, including the influence laws of polishing path, polishing pressure, abrasive belt granularity and other factors on the quality and the removal of the polishing surface. And tested the performance of abrasive belt polishing system and measuring system of the machine tool.
