In recent years, the super-long and super-wide multi-story steel frame construction has developed rapidly. The effect of temperature on the building is very complex and can’t be avoided, in order to determine the influence of temperature field on multi-storey steel steel structure expansion joints, based on the existing research on temperature stress of the super-long structure and combined with specific examples of project, the paper studies internal force and displacement distribution characteristics of multi-storey steel frame structure under the action of temperature using FEM, and puts forward the corresponding control measures and provides meaningful suggestions for guiding engineering practice. The main contents of the work include:(1) Combined with the application status of multi-story steel frame building and the research situation of the temperature field on the super-long structure, the research significance of analyzing the influence of temperature field on the multi-story steel frame structure is presented.(2) The finite element method is used to analyze the effect of temperature difference on the actual engineering of a multi-story steel frame. The distribution characteristics of internal force and displacement are studied, at the same time, the paper analyses the temperature stress control measures such as setting expansion joint, post-cast strip, and expansion reinforcing band, and some useful suggestions for engineering design are obtained.(3) Combined with one practical engineering, the temperature effect of the variable parameter is analyzed, respectively to change the longitudinal length, number of layers and the height of the first floor, the section size of structure(column, beam, slab), number of longitudinal span and tructure jointing mode. The conclusion can be used for engineering design personnel for reference.
