As one of the most important developing direction of international railway, high haul railway transportation owns features such as high efficiency, low cost and large capacity. With the progress of era, development of science and application as well as embodiment of high-tech in the railway, our heavy haul trains have achieved rapid expansion but the problem of energy consumption has also risen at the same time in terms of improving railway line capacity. Due to the operating energy consumption of heavy haul trains is affected by many factors, the problem of energy-efficient operating optimization is still a difficulty of the research. In the operation process of high haul trains, their energy consumption is mainly from increasing the trains’kinetic energy, overcoming running resistance and the possible self-wastage. Thus, in researches on energy-efficient operation control of heavy haul trains, it is practical to generate the energy-efficient operating curve to present energy consumption situations in the operation process of trains. This thesis will come up with control strategy of energy-efficient operation of heavy haul trains and generate energy-efficient operating curve of heavy haul trains.This thesis uses fuzzy control algorithm as core algorithm. Firstly, this thesis considers such line conditions as continuous long heavy slopes comprehensively and rationally divides lines and conducts the discretization. Secondly, this thesis analyzes correlation model, constructs energy consumption model of heavy haul trains based on correlation model and bounds related conditions. At the same time, this thesis uses fuzzy control to establish the fuzzy controller and sets up control strategy of energy-efficient operation of heavy haul trains. In the process of making fuzzy control rules, the change of the front ramp type and line speed limit will affect the control rules, therefore when there is a change in the current side slope type, converting the condition of the train based on the current train speed and target speed; when the line speed changes, reduce the train speed in advance to lower the number of using air brake. Finally, this thesis calculates the train energy-efficient operation based on characteristics of heavy haul trains and train operational requirements as well as obtained parameters and achieves heavy haul train operational curve in the constraint conditions.This thesis chooses heavy-haul direction line data of Shuo Huang Line of Heavy haul railway for simulation and achieves energy-efficient operation algorithm of heavy haul trains based on fuzzy control through MATLAB software. In the process of simulation, this thesis uses actual lines’actual data for simulating calculation, generates train energy-efficient operation curve and calculates consumption. Through comparing the energy consumption of the two pieces of actual lines and simulation, the energy-efficient effect of the energy-efficient operation control algorithm can be reduced through using energy-efficient algorithm in the thesis. Therefore, the operational control algorithm of heavy haul trains based on fuzzy control adopted in the thesis owns better energy-efficient effect on train energy-efficient operational control algorithm in actual lines.
