With the vigorous development of China’s rail transportation industry, operational security issues of train have become increasingly prominent, all kinds of technologies to ensure safety of train are emerging, and all kinds of information carried by train network has become more abundant, including control information, service information and security detection information, which makes the type and number of train network equipment growing, and the service information for passengers getting rich, the data which need transmitting via train communication network is increasing. Currently, the Ethernet train network technology continues to rise, with its advantages of high-speed, broadband, flexible networking, and opens up new avenues of multi-service transport.Study abroad on train communication networks is in a leading position, and domestic research in this area is lagging behind technology, application of Ethernet on the train has just started, so the research on subway train communication network based on Ethernet for the country to achieve self-development, and to break down foreign technical barriers are important. So this integration technology on the next generation subway train network is really imperative. This paper relies on national science and technology support projects, the main text of the work and innovations include:(1) Combined with development status and characteristics of industrial Ethernet and train communication network, studied IEC 61375-2-5 and IEC 61375-3-4 standards issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission, and analyzed the Ethernet train backbone and Ethernet consist network on network structure, data classification, and performance indicators.(2) Based on the research status and characteristics of subway train communication network and reliability and real-time defects of industrial Ethernet, analyzed the impact of Ethernet real-time factors and improving strategies, and proposed an integrated hierarchical schedule queue scheduling mechanism, reducing end to end transmission delay of communication real-time data. And then used network calculus to give upper bound delay of first come first served scheduling mechanism and the integrated hierarchical schedule queue scheduling mechanism, and theoretically verified the feasibility of the integrated hierarchical scheduling mechanism on the subway train.(3) Studied on the three simulation modeling mechanism of OPNET, and improved the Ethernet model in accordance with the protocols, and then set up the network model,node model and process model of the Ethernet train backbone and consist network, and configured the simulation parameters. Simulation results show that the integrated hierarchical scheduling algorithms on end to end delay, throughput, packet loss and network performance are in line with subway train communication network requirements, and have a greater advantage.
