Urban subway system is the backbone of the urban public transportation which is the fundamental way to solve the problem of urban traffic congestion. It has the following characteristics:large volume, high speed, high safety factor, punctuality arrived, environmentally, energy conservation, etc. With the perfection of Beijing urban subway transit network and the growth of operational mileage, passenger volume is also increasing simultaneously. Various subway station problems gradually emerge, which is related to the scale of subway station and the rationality of facility layout. In this subject, the research converge on modeling and simulation of pedestrian movement and evacuation of the subway station, according to the process that "the analysis of current theory-studies on observing crowd movement-evacuation modeling-the implementation and verification of simulation model-the application of simulation model", so that effective guidance can be provided on improving the subway transport capacity and evacuating the dense crowd in the station quickly when emergency happened. This subject has been studied in the following aspects:(1) Four factors feature analysis of urban subway station evacuation capability as follows: pedestrian evacuation, station facilities, station environment, and evacuation signage. Then confirm the affecting factors of population feature according to the characteristics of urban subway passenger.(2) Get through the passenger flow data from two Beijing typical subway transfer station: Fuxingmennei subway station and Xizhimen subway station on weekdays, then developing the pedestrian movement characteristics in urban subway transportation of different groups. Based on the pedestrian speed and density data of the two stations, analysis the crowds’ density-velocity characteristics, in order that the crowed flow regularity of urban subway traffic can be concluded.(3) Consider the impact to the pedestrian evacuation characteristics of urban subway transportation equipment, environment and guiding signs. Establish station pedestrian evacuation simulation model depend on social force model, and then using the actual data to proceed with calibration and verification of the model parameters.(4) Simulation and analysis the crowded evacuation capability of Fuxingmennei subway station, then come up with the evacuation capacity simulation results of different traffic equipment and facility. The optimization of simulation results and evacuation plan will be proposed too.
