| In recent years, the renewal of historical area has become a rising issue. As environmental problems get more serious, ecological reconstruction has become an important research direction. Traditional methods of historical area renewal focus on culture, business and tourism. However, the relationship among rainfall, landscape and environment is neglected. As a result, impervious underlying surface in historical area increases gradually and forms a large number of surface runoff, which leads to water logging disaster and non-point pollution. As an effective method to improve problems of rainfall, Low Impact Development (LID) can coordinate the relationship among all the elements of historical area, and improve the living quality of residence at historical areal.Selecting historical area as the topic, this paper summarizes the trend and the dilemma of renewal development, looks for the proper application of Low Impact Development, proposes the model of Low Impact Development based on "problem-oriented" method, and does research in the formation of ecological system, design process, technical comparison, monitoring and security system. In order to effectively apply the LID technology to the historical area renewal, this paper proposes the principles of modular application, which divides historical area into three modules—yard, transportation and green space. This paper analyzes the application of the LID technology of each modules and achieves the "point-line-plane" landscape system of LID rainfall utilization. Finally, this paper discusses ecological reconstruction of the historical area in selecting of LID facilities,’modular renewal’ strategy, rainwater utilization system with field investigation of Yanyue Hutong and review of theories of the application of LID technology in historical area renewal. |
