After years of construction and development, there exist several automation and information systems in electric power dispatching center, including EMS/SCADA, WAMS, prudential system, dispatching management system and so on. At the same time, as the demand of smart grid development put forward, effectively integration of application and data is in urgent need. Besides, more advanced and intelligent application needs to be developed to adapt to the wide range of power grid control, information interaction and business changes. Service-oriented architecture (SOA) provides a flexible way of integration. SOA adopts loose coupling and high reuse services to encapsulate business application function, and describes services in a neutral and standard way. So that business function module can be called and combined in a platform-independent way, which satisfy the demand of electric power dispatching center for system integration and business agility.Based on the achievement of information integration of the electric power industry and existed system resources, the in-depth research of the service-oriented architecture SOA application in the electric power dispatching center is done in this paper. And the overall implementation plan of SOA is given, in order to satisfy the requirement of system integration in electric power dispatching center, and provide the solution of the problem in using SOA. The main content of the paper is as follows:1. The background, meaning and current situation of SOA and the application of SOA in electric power dispatching center are discussed. And the solution is put forward aimed at the problems in the application of SOA in electric power dispatching center;2. An overall implementation of SOA in power dispatching center is given, based on Web Service, JMS and ESB technologies and information integration of electric power industry;3. Several public services are created such as metadata service, object naming service, netmodelservice, data service, access service and so on, as the foundation of the information integration in electric power dispatching center. Functional units of high reusability are extracted to provide unified support such as user access service, public alarm service and so on. And the interface design and interactive message define of the public services mentioned above are completed;4. Based on the above public services, the common methods for interface design and implementation of four kinds of business services in electric power dispatching center are given, including services developed from encapsulation, rewriting and combination;5. Finally the implementation method of the public Service and business Service packaging solutions are given based on Myeclipse platform and JAX-WS Service framework, so as the deployment based on Oracle Service Bus and service publication based on UDDI. ESB deployment configuration test is done based on the partial information interaction to verify the SOA implementation plan that is put forward in this paper. In the end, a total Visual interface is given to reflect the system integration.
