Inclinometer is used to measure a plane(or cylinder) with respect to the angle between the horizontal plane of the tilt angle and the plane(or cylinder) instruments, including the use of electronic digital display electronic inclinometer inclinometers and mechanical angle measuring mechanism optical inclinometer. In this thesis, the research and development of high-precision calibration device based on the angle encoder.Firstly, research current inclinometer calibration, introduce the common angle reference instruments, and analyzes the existing calibration devices. According measurement principle of inclinometers and calibration items, and learn from the existing calibration, determine the calibration device program.Design manual calibration device, based on the reference instrument calibration should meet the required characteristics, selected angle encoder-based device calibration reference instrument, and according to the requirements of calibration projects, selected angle encoder model, by the angle encoder and inclinometers data comparison, to achieve alignment. Designed according inclinometer size, shape and angle encoder mounting, the size, shape, design and create a manual device, the device comprises a mechanical system with angle encoder and monitors. Mechanical system components is determined based on program design, mechanical system comprising: clamping calibrated inclinometer fixture component, mounted the angle encoder components, transmission component and governor component to adjust angle-encoder and the base component to level device, then analyze and design each component, determine the structure of each component. Use SolidWorks software design mechanical assembly drawings of each component, and draw part drawings, conduct parts and then assemble parts to assembly, complete manual calibration device development.According to requirements of user, on the basis of the manual device, design improved device, using motors as the drive components, drive mechanical components, using AT89S52 microcontroller as the next crew, LabVIEW design PC applications, control motors. Use related module of LabVIEW read and record the angle encoders and having output interface and opening inclinometers data, for the inclinometers absence of the output interface or having output interface but not open, capture the images with the camera, and identifies the data in the image and record the data, complete improved calibration device development.Finally, calibrate the manual device and achieved a calibration certificate and using manual device calibrate the inclinometer in the field, records and analyze the experimental data, acquire calibration results.
