With the increase of natural gas exploitation in China, energy consumption structure will be greatly changed, the natural gas proportion in the energy consumption will increase gradually. With the anvantages of safe and environment-friendly, the Combined of Heat and Power system(CHP) with natural gas as fuel was increasing applied in practice. In order to improve the Primary Energy Rate(PRE), the Capstone C30 micro turbine generator unit and heat exchange equipments were integrated and integrative heat and power machine was designed, its velocity and temperature field in the C30 micro turbine generator unit case were analyzed. The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1) Characteristics analysis of Capstone C30 micro turbine generator unitFirstly, the working principle and characteristic of the micro gas turbine generator unit components were analyzed. Secondly, the generation power and generation efficiency were calculated according to the characteristics equtions. Finally, these parameters were compared and analyzed with the design values.(2) The design of integrative heat and power machineThe characteristics of C30 micro turbine generator unit was analyzed, according to the parameter of the exhaust and the hot air at the outlet, appropriate heat exchangers were selected, with higher Primary Energy Rate(PRE) as principle, and taking into account the internal heat and space allocation of the system, C30 micro turbine generator unit and heat exchangers were integrated, integrative heat and power machine was designed.(3)Thermal analysis in C30 micro turbine generator unit case of integrative heat and power machineThe maximum surface temperature of the generator and fuel system have limited for the C30 micro turbine generator unit. The power generation efficiency will reduce when the limited temperature surpassed. In order to study whether the C30 micro turbine generator unit of integrative heat and power machine meet the requirement, the thermal field in C30 micro turbine generator unit case was analyzed. Computational Fluid Dynamic(CFD) modle was established, The temperature and velocity field in C30 micro turbine generator unit case were simulated by using Fluent microsoft, the surface temperature of the generator and fuel system were analyzed. The temperature of the hot air at the outlet of C30 micro turbine generator unit case was measured under the actual operating conditions, it was compared with the simulation result, the rationality of the numerical simulation process was verified.(4) Evaluation the performance of integrative heat and power machineTaking Shanghai as an example, integrative heat and power machine was compared with the conventional energy system, energy efficiency and environmental protection performance were analyzed.
