Study On The Rural Vernacular Dwellings Of Zaozhuang In Shandong Province

With the integration of global economy and the acceleration of urbanization, great changes have been taking place in China’s vast rural areas which are faced with urbanization industrialization, and the pressure of modernization. Many traditional villages has been abandoned and damaged, leading to the declination of ancient rural folk culture.Therefore, rural vernacular dwellings and their cultural needs to be protected while it’s construction skills need to be excavated and studied.Based on the field investigations and site visits of the vernacular dwelings in the south of Shandong Province areas,by referring to literature and data, for rural dwellings in Zaozhuang area were systematically analyzed and researched. First of Zaozhuang rural traditional folk regional background analysis, focuses on the analysis of the material foundation of Zaozhuang area administrative location, geography and climate, natural resources and other vernacular dwelings forms, cultural foundation and the Confucian culture, impact on the lives of people in Zaozhuang, Shandong folk culture, canal culture of rural vernacular dwellings. On the second, through analysis of architecture; historical evolution of architectural forms of Zaozhuang rural vernacular dwellings and different forms of rural vernacular dwellings; to explore the natural environment and regional culture influence which produces to the rural vernacular dwellings, as well as the causal relationship between the two, through the detailed analysis of two very representative in Zaozhuang area,the characteristics of vernacular dwellings in the villages, mainly transported along the building’s history geography is mountainous architecture and huts the reason, the village pattern, the courtyard layout, the building structure characteristic and so on carries on the analysis, the excavation of Zaozhuang area countryside traditional folk house has the unique characteristic and the ecological wisdom. Finally, the existing status of the vernacular dwelings in rural areas of Zaozhuang were analyzed, the value and significance of the protection of vernacular dwelings in rural areas were emphasized, and the reasonable protection measures were put forward.This is the first paper of rural vernacular dwellings in Zaozhuang area of comprehensive and systematic study of the academic articles, which not only provides detailed data of surveying and mapping, real photos, refer to the chart, and in the south of Shandong Province rural vernacular dwelings cause of formations and materials, construction technology and process, to more professional analysis; on the rural vernacular dwellings protection and inheritance, development and reconstruction were also prospective outlook and scientific study. This paper fills in some of the blanks in the southern country study of vernacular dwelings and the inheritance of local traditional residential culture has an important guiding role. The vernacular dwelings of rural China is overall and systematic research is an important supplementary role, and in other areas of vernacular villages in the rural areas of research, protection, development and utilization of heritage, also has an important reference value.
