Qinba mountain area has a long history and culture, and its traditional rural houses are influenced by multi-culture and have distinct regional characteristics. However, under the impact of the new wave of China’s rural construction, the characteristics of traditional rural dwellings in Qinba Mountainous areas have been blurred, and the layout, functional space, construction technology, material renewal, cultural inheritance and other aspects of the dwellings have evolved. As there are still many deficiencies in relevant theoretical research and technical support, under the spontaneous construction of villagers, rural dwellings lose their historical tradition, break away from rural advantages, blindly follow the trend of towns and other phenomena.Existing problems and development opportunities are in collision, thus the topic of rural dwellings in Qinba Mountain area is generated.Taking the traditional rural dwellings in Qinba mountainous area as the research object, this paper explores the ideas and measures for the construction of new rural dwellings in Qinba mountainous area through field investigation, comparative analysis, multidisciplinary research and simulation analysis.Considering factors such as social economy, regional culture, climate environment, and traditional building techniques, and based on the project example and construction example verification, the development road of rural folk houses in line with the new era background that pays attention to the nature of rural folk houses and villagers’ living needs is constructed.Based on the three background of regionalism, climate complexity and modernization of folk dwellings, the paper puts forward the updating methods and approaches of new folk dwellings in Qinba mountainous areas.Firstly, the historical attribute, regional characteristics, residential environment and cultural attribute of rural folk dwellings in Qinba mountain area are expounded, and the historical evolution process of rural folk dwellings is preliminarily explored.Secondly,it tests and simulates the indoor thermal environment of traditional dwellings.Through the data quantitative analysis and simulation qualitative analysis,it points out the problems existing in traditional rural dwellings.Thirdly, the paper studies the morphological changes and technological progress of rural dwellings in Qinba Mountainous areas as well as the existing disadvantages, and focuses on the analysis of the characteristics of The Times and modern needs of rural dwellings.Furthermore, this paper puts forward the updating mode of rural dwellings in Qinba Mountainous areas from the aspects of street location, functional space, technical indicators and regional language model: from the planning land to the internal space,it puts forward the key points of the updating design of new dwellings, and then standardizing the construction of rural dwellings from the detailed technical indicators.Combining with the regional characteristics of Qinba mountain area, the paper USES reasonable architectural combination and appropriate formal language to realize the renewal and evolution of traditional rural dwellings and the construction of new dwellings. Finally, combined with the project example and construction example, listed some new residential practice design, rural residential renewal verification, with practical application to verify the theoretical cognition. The study of rural dwellings in Qinba Mountains can promote the profound understanding and application of traditional rural dwellings and provide a foundation for the inheritance and development of rural dwellings. At the same time,it provides reference for the current residential renewal research and practice.Active exploration and practice is the only way for the healthy and orderly development of new rural dwellings in Qinba Mountainous areas.
