The heavy haul transportation, which has the advantages of large transportation capacity, high efficiency and low transportation cost, has been widely concerned and valued by various countries in the world. As one of the main heavy haul railways in China, the Shuo-Huang Railway needs to improve the transportation capacity urgently to meet the growing demand for coal transportation. This paper takes the prestressed concrete culvert as the research object to study the bearing capacity and heavy load transforming technology under the action of 30t or above axle load.Cross pull loading of culvert in the live load of special load diagram axle load of 250-350kN inspection. Results show that:in the design of live load effect, the concrete compressive stress, reinforcement stress, principal tensile stress and crack width are to meet the design requirements, the in-live load condition, still have a certain surplus. In the operation of 30t axle load truck, culvert some control sections have been unable to meet the operating load requirements, the specific performance:on the top of culvert filled-mode control design, filling thickness less than 1.0m cover axle load increasing effect is obvious, axle load increasing. Generally exceeds the code limits; low side wall of frame culvert bottom lower edge reinforcement Stress in the main combination exceeds the code limits; at the same time, low side wall frame culvert ratio, high side wall stress more unfavorable, response to enhancing the axle load is more obvious. Culvert entity test results also show that,30t axle loaded wagons on culvert effect (steel strain, cross deflection degrees) was larger than that of the train operation effect, maximum were more than 10%-22%,9%to 18%. Therefore, to ensure that the heavy haul freight train operation safety must after retrofitting.The reinforcement target is that the culvert structure effect under the action of 1.2 times ZH live load shouldn’t exceed the pre-reform effect under the action of ZH live load, and it must meet the requirements of the current specification. The reinforcement methods for the culvert has put forward according to the different situations and detailedly check-calculates the most of the reinforcement schemes. The results show that the proposed scheme can improve the structure force and achieve the desired purpose of reinforcement. This has an important significance for ensuring the smooth implementation of heavy haul transportation of the Shuo-Huang railway.
